Allocating Users to Licenses

A user is a single person, who is permitted to access the license that your account has access to. Licenses are not for sharing between people.

Adding Users

Add users on the users tab of the account page.

 

Prerequisites:
  • You must be an admin user
  • Your company must have available licenses (empty rows in the above spreadsheet), if you don’t have any contact sales@grip.co.nz  to get extra licenses allocated to your account.
  • New users’ email domains must match your allowed domains
 
User Addition Process:
  1. Go to the Users tab
  2. In the available license slots, enter:
    1. Email Address - Must be valid and follow domain restrictions
    2. Admin Status - Check the box to make them an admin
  3. Click Apply to review
  4. Confirm the user details in the popup
  5. Click Apply again and GRIP will email login details to the users email.
 
What Happens Next:
  • New users receive email invitations with login credentials to access GRIP
  • New users can immediately access GRIP features

 

Managing admin permissions for users

Viewing Current Users: The Users tab shows all active team members with:

  • Email address
  • Admin status (checked = admin, unchecked = standard user)
  • Remove button (not shown for account administrator)
Changing Admin Status:
  1. Click the Admin checkbox next to a user’s name
  2. Confirm the change in the popup dialog
  3. The user’s permissions update immediately
Removing Users:
  1. Click Remove next to the user you want to remove
  2. Confirm the removal in the popup dialog
  3. The user loses access immediately
  4. This frees up a license for your company, you can then allocate the license to someone else.
Important Notes:
  • You cannot remove the account administrator (email support@grip.co.nz to request changes to account administrator)
  • You cannot change your own admin status
  • Removed users lose all access to GRIP immediately

Altering license numbers for your organisation

Available Licenses:
  • Your subscription includes a specific number of user licenses
  • The system shows how many licenses are available vs. used
  • You can only add users if you have available licenses
  • If you want extra licenses, contact GRIP sales (sales@grip.co.nz) to obtain more
Email Domain Restrictions:
  • Your company has restrictions on which email domains can be added
  • Contact support if you need domain restrictions modified, this will be considered on a case by case basis
