Line Measurement

Creating Line Measurements:

1. Open the Tools Panel

2. Select the Measure tab

3. Click “Measure Line” button

4. Click in the map to start drawing a line

5. Click additional points to continue the line

6. Double-click to finish

7. Distance displays automatically

Area Measurement

Creating Area Measurements:

1. Open the Tools Panel

2. Select the Measure tab

3. Click “Measure Area” button

4. Click in the map to place polygon vertices

5. Continue clicking to define the boundary

6. Double-click to close the polygon

7. Area displays in square meters

Interactive Editing

Editing Measurements:

· Move vertices - Hover over, then click and drag any point to a new position

· Add vertices - Click and drag on line segments to add points

· Remove vertices - Hold Alt and click vertex to delete

Management Tools:

· Clear All - Remove all measurements from the map

· Right-click delete - Remove individual measurements

· ESC key - Cancel current measurement

Measurement Accuracy

Technical Specifications:

· Uses NZTM coordinate system for calculations

· Suitable for preliminary estimates and verification

· Not a substitute for professional surveying or high precision application
