Account Management - User Management
Discover effective strategies for managing user accounts and optimising user experiences within your account management system.
One licence, one person. Add someone, take someone off, make an admin — and know what does and does not change your bill.

For account administrators
In this guide
1 Licences and users
Your subscription includes a number of licences. Each one is for a single person, with their own login: a licence is never shared. The Users tab of the Account page lists everyone holding one, and shows an empty row for every licence still to be given out.

2 Add a user
- Open the menu at the top left, click Account, then the Users tab.
- In an empty row, type the person’s email address (1).
- Tick the box beside it (2) if they should be an admin — able to add and remove users themselves.
- Click Apply (3). A box lists who you are adding: check it, and click Apply again.

They receive an email from support@grip.co.nz with their login details straight away, and can use GRIP at once. Ask them to check junk and spam if it has not arrived.
3 Admin rights
Tick or untick the box beside a person’s email and confirm. An admin can add and remove users, give admin rights, and set up the company data fields; everyone can use everything on the map either way. Two boxes cannot be changed: the account administrator’s, and your own.
4 Remove a user
- On the Users tab, click Remove beside the person.
- Confirm. Their access ends at once, and their row becomes an empty one, ready for the next person.

5 More licences, or fewer
- More. Email sales@grip.co.nz with the number of licences you would like. Once they are added, there are empty rows on the Users tab to type the new people’s emails into. The licences are added to your account for the rest of your year, at a pro-rata price we can quote first, and you then add the people as in section 2 — or we can add them for you.
- Fewer. Licence numbers come down at your annual rollover. We email the account administrator a few weeks before it to ask whether anything should change; reply with the number you want. Email accounts@grip.co.nz at any time to ask what a change would cost.

6 Quick answers
There is no empty row.
Every licence is in use. Remove someone who has left, or email sales@grip.co.nz for more.
The new user did not get their email.
Ask them to check junk and spam for an email from support@grip.co.nz. If it is not there, email us and we send their details again.
Someone is leaving and someone is starting.
Remove the one, then type the other into the row that frees up and click Apply. Or email us both names and we do it.
Can two people share a login?
No. A licence is for one person, and a shared password locks everyone out the moment it changes. Ask sales@grip.co.nz for another licence: the price per person comes down as you add more.
I removed someone. Is there anything else to do?
No — their access has ended. Tell us only if you also want fewer licences from your next rollover.
