Understanding Information Panels
It is important to understand, that when you see information in the app, it is intended to replicate the source dataset, whether or not the source dataset is correct. If you need help rectifying an issue in a source dataset we are happy to pass your request through to the data provider to try and resolve the issue where possible. Get in touch at contact@grip.co.nz to work through this.

Title Information:
We update our source data from LINZ data services, typically on a weekly basis. This data forms the foundation for our view of property rights, restrictions, and responsibilities. However, there are important limitations to consider:
Data currency - Updates occur at most weekly, meaning information may not reflect the very latest changes.
Intentional exclusions - LINZ deliberately withholds certain information from their data services, such as protected titles.
Data availability - Not all information is available in structured format.
Best practice - At critical points in your research, we recommend linking directly to official LINZ sources to ensure you have the most current and authoritative information.
To obtain title information,
There are multiple ways to obtain title information, for example, searching for a title number, this help page is focussed on map interactions, so the method explained her is to access the title via the parcel.
